
Thomas Jeffrey Hanks, born on July 9, 1956, is an American actor. He is known for his comedic and dramatic role, he is one of the most admired and recognizable film stars worldwide and is considered an American famous cultural icon. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was the son of Janet Marylyn, a hospital employee, as well as Amos Mefford Hanks (an itinerant chef). His mother was originally named "Fraga" while his father was predominantly English. Tom was born into an extended family that he describes as "fractured". He didn't have any acting experience during his college. This is what made him start his career. He walked into the city, and tried to audition for a local theatre production, and was invited by the director of the play to attend Cleveland and from there, his acting career was born.
