She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo and her maternal grandmother Valerie Barba. The family relocated from Point Pleasant, New Jersey, at six. The school she attended was Red Bank Catholic High School, New Jersey. Following her graduation from Catholic University with a Bachelor's in Architecture She continued to pursue her studies at the college. She began playing violin when she was four years old, and became known as the Violin Girl. Her performances led to the use of her nickname.
